THE BRAIDED VISION
We are a community of women coming together to learn, travel, and fish together. We seek to explore wild places, especially those places that involve water and fly fishing. We believe that caring about our water resources requires caring for our water resources. We connect with a global industry and network of friends, while maintaining a local focus. We offer a place where women can come as they are – no matter if they are a novice or experienced angler. We encourage and challenge one another without pretense and competition; where personal connections, grace, and joy ultimately matter more.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Kami Swingle
Founder, PresidentKami lives in a small mountain town in Colorado. She has fly fished all over the world including Argentina, Belize, Guatemala, Hawaii, Mexico, and Spain. Kami is currently an Ambassador for Orvis, the founder and president of Braided, a women-centric fly fishing community, and a board member for her local chapter of Trout Unlimited. She’s a firm believer that fish respond to cute outfits, although she can’t empirically prove it yet. She’s a professional graphic designer, photographer, and filmmaker. When she is not working, find her on the trail or on the water with a fly rod and camera in hand.
Katherine Sumrall-Griego
Vice PresidentKatherine Sumrall-Griego, has always grown up around the outdoors hunting and fishing. Katherine’s husband introduced her to fly fishing and it has now become a core part of her life. Currently, Katherine and her husband Orlando reside in Durango, Colorado. Katherine has been fly fishing for roughly 7 years. Her passion for fly fishing has grown tremendously as fly fishing collided with her passion and desire to travel the world. When not selling real estate you will find Katherine on the river or salt water flat embracing the joy that only comes from the sport of fly fishing.
